This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified diesel fitter to join our team of mechanics at our Gold Coast factory.

About the role

​

You will be working in our factory on the Gold Coast testing and building engines.

​

The work is as good as it gets in terms of being a diesel fitter.

​

No climbing under trucks, or in tight confines of a boat, or in scorching desert heat. Work in our factory, working on a bench, testing and building engines.

​

We specialise in American and European engines - Caterpillar, Cummins, DAF, Detroit, Iveco, MACK, MAN, Mercedes, Perkins, Scania, Volvo etc.

​

The factory consists of our sales office, stock warehouse which is full of diesel engines and parts, and large mechanics warehouse where our team of mechanics build and repair diesel engines for our customers.

 

We are looking for a keen and energetic person to join our team of mechanics. This a fulfilling role, working with great people, where you will look forward to coming to work.

​

Our mechanics love the fact they they are Gold Coast based, for an incredible lifestyle - no fly in, fly out. Knock off work and be at home with family or head down to the beach for a surf after work!

We operate in a niche and interesting market, where what we sell is primarily large diesel engines and related equipment for trucks, buses, boats, agricultural and mining machinery.

The role has a 3-month probation period, after which, you will be offered permanent employment.

Skills and experience



• Trade certificate as a Diesel Fitter, Engine Reconditioning or Heavy Diesel Mechanic

• Experience in European and American diesel engines essential

• Senior understanding of engine rebuilding requirements and procedures.

• HR Licence would be beneficial but not necessary

• High level of engine understanding and fault finding diagnosis ability
